This POINT Homepage has been designed to tell you everything you need to know about POINT. Please make yourself at home. After all, that's what being Italian is all about.
If you would like to learn more about POINT, our publications and our other activities, please tour any (or all) of the sections on this site.
We have tried to make the site as helpful, informative and as easy to use as possible, with a minimum of time-consuming fancy graphics.
We believe you came here to learn about POINT and Italian genealogy, not to waste your time watching your monitor's screen do tricks.
It is important - - - before joining POINT - - - that potential POINT members know what POINT is all about and what POINT can - - - and cannot - - - do for the Italian Genealogist and the Italian Family Historian.
POINT is NOT a genealogical research service.
POINT was created in 1987 and is the largest network of Italian family historians in the world, with over 5100 members (some 1300 active) who eagerly share their knowledge and expertise with one another:
- in the pages of our quarterly, POINTers
- at POINTers In Person (PIP) meetings across America
- on our POINTers In E-Mail (PIE) mail list
- via an exchange of letters
- through other personal communication

Over the last six years, our renewal rate is 85% - This indicates how strongly our members feel about the value of their POINT membership.
